T-Bone Walker Blues Festival Review
Dear Linden residents,
It is with great pleasure that I pen this letter to express my deepest appreciation and many, many thanks for the fantastic and hospitable time we were shown on the weekend of the inaugural event, "The T-Bone Walker Blues Fest."
I shall never forget the love shown from each of you... Before we left for home, we had already begun to share this once in a lifetime experience and encourage others to plan to attend next year.
Our family is very proud of Daddy and it is obvious that Linden is also. Thank you for wanting to give a much deserving man a place in Linden's history. It is our prayer that the dreams of the city come to fruition sooner than later.
We are truly looking forward to next year. Until then may God continue to shine His blessings on your efforts to be of help to others.
Sincerely,
Bernita R. Walker
Thank you SO MUCH for such a GREAT time at the T. Bone Walker Blues Festival. That whole day and night, was perfect! Inside and out. Thanks for the hospitality in the backstage area. I'm now a big Keb' Mo' fan! That guy was GREAT! Best I've witnessed in a while. I've heard his stuff before, but to watch him play the guitar, and the connection that he had with the audience, was a performance that I'll never forget. Thanks, Richard, for going up to the stage and letting Keb' Mo' know that he can play as long as he wanted. It wouldn't have bothered me to watch him perform for another hour. Diddley Squat's performance was special. The Kesler Brothers amaze me. All of the performances were great! From the people that helped us find a parking spot, to the greeters at the front and inside, to the folks that worked backstage... and all around MCT... I'd say Music City Texas is the absolute best "live" entertainment place in the entire region. The sound in that place, on that day, was GREAT! The guy that mixed the sound (Matt I think?), did one (heck) of a job.
...I applaud everyone at MCT, and everyone that supports MCT. I look forward to many other visits, and will certainly promote MCT, while I'm on the air. I mention it often to friends, and noticed several of them in attendance.

We enjoyed working with Dee Dee Williams and also having the chance to listen to the other artists as well. I later learned that Dee Dee's mom passed away the following day so that must have been a tough gig for her to do.
I must say that the organization of the event was impressive, especially the accommodations for the artists. Matt & Randy did a great job of mixing the sound and were easy to work with. The event staff was very courteous too. ...The food was very good also. Please give our compliments to the chefs.
Bernita Walker was very gracious and I know that it must have been a special time for her and her family. It says a lot about y'all to honor T-Bone Walker as Linden's own. T-Bone's music style influenced many of us old school musicians and hopefully some of the younger singers and musicians coming up.
In closing, I wish you all continued success at Music City and to keep up your good work. I personally hope for the opportunity to play at another one. If ever I may be of service to you and your endeavors at Music City, please do not hesitate to give me call.
Sincerely,
Daniel Elzner Guitarist

Coming to the T-Bone Walker Blues Fest made my drive from Arlington seem like a short one. Worth every mile!!! Keb Mo was one of the best shows I've seen in years.
See ya next year for the Second Annual T-Bone Walker Blues Fest, and no telling how many times before then. You gotta love the keepers of the music.
Viva the Music City Texas Theater!

We wanted to say thank you to everyone for the fantastic job that you all did for the T-Bone Walker festival. It was one of the smoothest run events we have had the privilege of being a part of. We wanted to let you know how much we appreciate everything everyone did. Even “us girls” felt very welcome and were treated just as good if not better than our fellas… which is a first for us. Thank you for making this an experience we will never forget.
Can’t wait to do it next year.

...I too want to thank you so much for everything you did-- the festival was beautifully run, the stage crew was sharp as a tack, and everyone was so kind. On top of all those wonderful memories, meeting Miss Bernita was a soul-stirring event I will treasure always. Such a beautiful and genuinely gracious lady.
Congratulations on a successful event, and Best Wishes for NEXT YEAR'S festival! Most of all, thank you for honoring the memory of T-bone Walker. He was class all the way.
Sincerely,
Sylvia Carrell
